This page explains how cookies and similar technologies are used in connection with this website. The short version: this site sets no cookies of its own and does not track you.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to store so that it can recognise the same browser on a later visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do much the same job. They can be genuinely useful — remembering a preference, or keeping you signed in — and they can also be used to follow people from one site to another.

02

How this website uses them

This website is a set of static pages. It has no sign-in, no basket, no form that stores what you type, and no analytics, advertising or social media tracking. It sets no cookies of its own and builds no profile of your visit, which is why there is no consent banner to accept or dismiss.

03

Resources loaded from other services

To display as intended, the pages load a small number of resources hosted elsewhere: the typefaces used for text, the icon set, and the photographs shown in each section. Requesting a file from another service inevitably tells that service which file was asked for, what kind of browser asked for it and the network address it came from. That is how the web works, and it is true of any site that loads an external font or image.

Those providers publish their own terms, which govern what they do with that request information. We do not receive it and we do not combine it with anything else.

04

Essential and optional cookies

Where a site does set cookies, they are usually divided into those strictly necessary for it to function and those that are optional, such as analytics or advertising. Optional cookies require your consent before they are set. This site uses neither category.

05

Managing cookies yourself

Every current browser lets you see which cookies are stored, delete them, and block them either for particular sites or in general — usually under a privacy or site-data setting. Blocking cookies from other sites will not affect how this website displays.

06

If this changes

If something is added in future that needs cookies — a contact form protected against spam, for instance, or measurement of which pages are read — this page will be updated to say so when it appears, and consent will be requested wherever the law requires it.
